What are Dental Crowns and Bridges?

How Do Crowns Work?

Crowns provide a protective covering over damaged or discoloured teeth to improve their alignment or shape. • Laboratory professionals make a restoration design using the CAD software and the 3D images from optical scanners to create the final tooth design. Next, the images are fed to a milling unit that shapes the crowns and bridges from a block of ceramic.
• Lastly, the bridges and crowns undergo the sintering and polishing process, where the machine stains or glazes them before being polished to give our patients that natural look. The dental crowns and bridges are now ready for cementation.
